Terms of service

Last updated 25 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the Hey Atu website, the iPhone and iPad app, the agent on your computer, the relay, or an AI app connection ("the service"). Hey Atu is run by Xinyi Han, a sole trader in Australia ("we", "us"). If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

The service is new. Features can change, stop or have faults. Paid plans are open; section 3A applies.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if it is higher. You may connect only computers and accounts that you own or that you have permission to control.

3. You control your computer

The service lets your phone, and AI apps that you approve, run commands and change files on your computer with the permissions of your user account. This is powerful. You are responsible for what you ask it to do and for the apps that you approve.

3A. Plans and payment

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to get into a computer or account without permission, to attack or overload the relay, to send malware, or to get around our limits. We can block use that puts other people or the service at risk.

5. Your content

Your files, prompts and results belong to you. We claim no rights to them. Most of them never reach us (see the privacy policy).

6. Our software

We give you a personal, non-exclusive right to use our software with the service. The Pi agent and other open-source parts keep their own licences. Apple's terms also apply to the app from the App Store.

7. Other services

The service works with services that we do not control, for example Pi, your model provider, Claude, ChatGPT, Google, Apple and Cloudflare. We are not responsible for them.

8. No warranty

We provide the service "as is". As far as the law allows, we make no promise that it will be available, free of errors, or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms removes rights that you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.

9. Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, files or work caused by commands that you, your devices or your AI apps run. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount that you paid us in the 6 months before the claim arose and AUD 100. Where the Australian Consumer Law limits our liability for a failure to meet a guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying for that.

10. Stop or suspend

You can stop at any time: remove your devices and AI apps, and uninstall the agent. We can suspend or end access if you break these terms, or if we stop the service. We will tell you first where we can.

11. Changes

We can change these terms. We will change the date at the top. For a material change, we will tell you before it applies. If you continue to use the service after that, the new terms apply.

12. Law

The laws of New South Wales, Australia apply. Courts there can hear disputes.
